Our defense has been the embodiment of excellence this season. Not one missed coverage.

How does that comparison between Brodeur and Schneider even make any sense?

You would think Schneider was light years in front of him. Brodeur played in a different era. Goal scoring was different. The game was different. Goaltenders weren't putting up .925-930 a year.

I was anticipating this Rangers' season just like that one time my Mrs. said the night before that she was going to make Cajun spiced fried chicken, with golden brown biscuits, mashed potatoes and homemade coleslaw.

You go to work, get banged up a little due to the line of work you're in, have to deal with *******s at work, have to deal with *******s elsewhere. You feel a bit hungry at times and you drive by some good Italian restaurants, burger joints, steak houses. "Screw that," you tell yourself, "the Mrs. is making fried chicken!"

When you finally make it through the door and you sit yourself down at the dinner table, what does she make? Steamed artichoke and some other ungodly vegetable that should never be consumed.

You're greatly disappointed but you think there could be one positive at the end of the night, but as soon as that thought encroaches your head, she begins to tell you how much of a bad day she is having because it's that time of the month and her back hurts and she feels like poop.

You're 2013-2014 New York Rangers, ladies and gentlemen.
