the Rangers as a team still have bad puck support and as a team they're just not that fast.

it's evident in a lot of 50/50 races.

Wow. Cherry picking or what Ok I'll try.

Avalanche = playoff team 2018, currently in position led by their hart nominated 1C

Predators = presidents trophy winners 2018

Sharks = playoff team 2018. Led by their blueline featuring 2 norris winners

Hurricanes and Edmonton I'll give you.

Considering expectations and this roster on paper, yes we are better by a long shot. The way we played against carolina is the way we're meant to be Instead we're playing on equal terms against the likes of Nashville Washington and San Jose.

Ironically, I wouldn't expect credit where credit is due for the rangers on their own board
I’ll concede the Predators, but the Avalanche, like I said in a different thread, are the definition of a one line team. Not much depth there. That game was all Lundqvist. And the Sharks may have been good last season, but they are struggling this year. Just because they have 2 Norris winners, doesn’t make them automatically good. On paper it does, but hockey is unpredictable.

I want to give this team credit, but they haven’t impressed me yet. Too many inconsistent forwards. Although I admit some of my hate may come from me really wanting them to suck and draft Hughes. If you want a Cup, you want the Rangers to lose this season.

I can't believe this argument is still going on.

Not showing the 1D defensive and positional play. That screen was unfortunate. Not great, a bit bad, but fine.
I wouldn't let him have it.

Orpik is a drag in the regular season, don't get me wrong, I have cursed his name a thousand times.

But the man is built for the post season and I agree with the assessment that he had a tangible role in our win. He plays hard, stay at home, physical defense and he did it well last year. He can't play a lot of minutes anymore but as a bottom pairing d-man he's one of the better ones in the league for the post season. I think one of the things Orpik does deceivingly well is take away space from his opponent, he's great at making the opposition run out of track or closing out any space they have around them. This is most definitely his last year with us, but I think the biggest issue with the guy was we were paying him $4.5 for bottom pairing production.

Why’s he brutal? Tries to hard?

He Doesn't complement Spooner or Buch at all. No passing creativity, not a single good offensive play this season no matter who he plays with.

Sure he runs around like a mad man at full speed. Any AHL guy can do that. Their needs to be a better option. Lettieri is not an NHL player, hasn't looked like one once.
