He turned it on leading up to the Olympics. Got his gold, mostly as a passenger, and now he's back to floaty time.

Even then, with his "11 in 11", a lot of those goals weren't very impressive. I noticed again and again that goals would come on setups by other players, very few were scored using his skill (which, if anyone can remember, he used to have). He used to be fast and use his size to beat defenders. Now, he doesn't even try and shoots through everybody. He also assists on nothing, ever. The month of January, those 11 goals were his only points. Zero assists. Zero, as in none. Not one. The 15 games (including the one we're currently watching) since his 11th goal against the Devils? 2 goals, 5 points. Not to mention the Olympics where he was absolutely useless. I thought I was done ranting but I guess not.
