Some things are pretty and some things are abhorrent. This was not a pretty game.

Fun game, shame Sandstrom couldn't save a beach ball
Hi Torts..Ersson has to play every game... take the good with the bad. I don't go for this "wear him out" crap...he's 24. Only 1 back to back left, and 3 days off before and 2 after. He'll have bad games...but some good ones too. And Deslaurier looks like Jelly Roll....
If they thought he could, he would’ve played this one.Ersson has to play every game... take the good with the bad. I don't go for this "wear him out" crap...he's 24. He should be able to play most of the games. Teams don't rotate goalies during playoffs, and the rest of the schedule basically is a playoff schedule. If they thought he could, he would’ve played this one.
?...what's stopping them? Seriously...Is he hurt? Or are they just doing something that looks like the "right" move? It obviously wasn't a good move. Not great tending. If they thought he could, he would’ve played this one.
He got pulled in 2 of his last 3 games. He clearly needed a break.?...what's stopping them? Seriously...Is he hurt? Or are they just doing something that looks like the "right" move? It obviously wasn't a good move. Not great tending.
His career high GP in a season is 54 last year, split between the AHL (42) and NHL (12).He should be able to play most of the games. Teams don't rotate goalies during playoffs, and the rest of the schedule basically is a playoff schedule.
Luckily the Islanders lost tonight. Going to be a close race.
The lack of defensive cohesiveness is remarkably not sustainable. They are being exposed by their own inefficiencies but also the lack of a stalwart on defense. This is casually reminiscent of Pat Quinn's later teams that reinvented the term scrappy but eventually succumbed to injury and a paucity of skill in their own zone. Unless the system and draft develops, all that awaits are the modern-day equals of trades for Brad McCrimmon, Doug Crossman, Brad Marsh and Mark Howe. Good luck with that.So...the losses.....looks like they are piling up.
Luckily all the teams chasing them are shiting the bed too.
