[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I told Kreider before the game, "Try to have a little bit of fun". He’s had a great season but I remember my first year. It’s tough the first year.
You have to be able to handle the dips and valleys and Chris has done a great job with that and he’s continued to improve his game and he’s going to do that the rest of the way, I hope.
- Derek Stepan

Our team is deep. We want to be a part of this. It's good to contribute offensively. It was a pretty gutty win this afternoon.
A lot of checking and grabbing, but we fought through it and did a good job.
- Brian Boyle

They certainly played well. Start with Hank and then Nash and Stepan. That pass Mac made to find Step where we went two on one. That’s a skilled pass. Everybody understands this is going to be a battle.
When Stepan came back from the Olympics after not having played very much and when I met with him the first day back, that’s one of the things he told me. He wanted to step up and he wanted to play more minutes.
He wanted to take a bigger role and assume more responsibilities and I think he’s shown that he can do it and I want him to continue to do it.
- Alain Vigneault

Looking at their forwards I'm surprised they're as bad as they are. Nathan Gerbe as a 3rd liner is not too bad. Semin on the 2nd line.

Eric Staal may not play tomorrow. Was sick and missed practice today and Carolina said they don't know about his availability for the game.

Bellemore on the 1st pair is just ... lol. Now, please don't make me eat crow here, Rangers.

I would be mighty pleased if we came out of the first period with more than a 1-0 lead, or trailing behind for that matter

I too despise Jeff Skinner. What a ****ing diver. I don't understand why he doesn't have that reputation around the league (or does he, and I just don't know about it?)

Gotta keep getting two points against the teams we need to get two points against.

Would love to see Marty pot one tonight. The longer that goes without happening, might be hard to get the monkey off his back, as the kids say these days.

BTW, is it like last year where we don't play against our division rivals the same amount of games? I read that we only have one game left with Philly for example.

With the exception of the devils and islanders (outdoor?) I believe we have 4 games vs division, 3 vs conference and 2 vs league.
