Smart away from the puck, has found good ice in the offensive zone (but the Flyers haven't spent a lot of time their, overall), has made good reads defensively, good puck pressure while forechecking.

As you'll see above, not a lot about play with the puck because the Flyers have barely touched it without immediately giving it back. He did almost score on a loose puck early in the second, but that was more a case of right place/right time.

Everyone talks about their beautifully remodeled defense, but one of the most underrated moves is Tatar. It’s the type of move that tells you a lot about the evaluating behind the scenes: they targeted a perpetually market undervalued forward on a 2 year cheap deal, who is an analytics darling at 5v5. It’s Smart Team 101 shit.
