Torts loved Desnoyers from the moment he met him, b/c Desnoyers started out as a defensive specialist in the CHL and has good fundamentals. The game he did play he looked right at home in the NHL. He's been a dominant AHL player the last couple months as he worked his way into the top six for the Phantoms.

Foerster I'm not so sure about, I think he may need a summer working on his skating and another season in the AHL. He's got a good shot and pretty good vision and passing skills for a shooter, but he's far from a dynamic skater right now and not exactly a defensive force.

That first line could be a solid 2nd line for years to come.
That second line might be a start for a good 3rd line.
That third line is headed out the door, so who plays with Desnoyers next season?
The fourth line will need to replace Bellows, but Wisdom is at least a year away.

Wisdom? Guy was in the ECHL a few games this season, has 10 pts, not sure he's ever gonna make the nhl

You realize how bad this sounds right? You're saying the Flyers don't really have a first line. Especially so if Couturier isn't the same.

He's been set back by injuries, but looked very good in the AHL (albeit somewhat watered down) at 18.
Wisdom isn't going to be a big scorer, but he may turn out to be a solid bottom six RW.

Duh. Hasn't that been the problem all season?
Frost is asked to play a 1C role on offense, and Cates the shutdown center role on defense.
That's a lot to ask of two players starting on a regular basis for the first time.

Remember when you called others out for overhyping prospects?
I have no idea what he’s posting but I can only imagine. The Flyers have all of one blue chip prospect, Cutter Gaudreau. And while he should be a good, maybe even very good player, few if any scouts view him as a future 1C which is the team’s greatest need.

Wisdom is a July birthday, at 18 in the AHL, 28g 7-11 18 +6, injured last season, worked his way back into shape in the OHL, had a good playoff, but has struggled this season.
It's a little early to write him off. He'll be all of 21 next year.
