Look at what was being said about LaCombe before this year, then look at LaCombes age.

Now look at what's being said about Zel this year, then look at Zels age.

Let him f***ing develop.

Until this season lacombe was compeltely lost. And he’s older, than all of them. That was my concern. I agree they need time. But zells size is an issue. Where as Solberg and lunuea seem primed to come in later on and thrive

Robbie you might hurt feelings here. I think our board thinks we have Hughes in Zell. I just don't see it yet. He's still young. But he's got ways to go

No it’s called he made a bad read in the moment- something that players of all sizes can and do so. It’s also very fixable with coaching for most players

Ideally Zel would be a 6'5 monster but he's not. He will either learn to play in a way that maximizes his good traits or he won't, in the meantime he's not utterly breaking the team. I'll puke if we trade another young defenseman and breaks out for someone else

I’m super bullish on lunea and Solberg coming to the ducks later and being real difference makers.

I'm a fan of Luneau, but if you hate Zellweger's defensive game, you're really not going to like Luneau's at this stage. Luneau's defensive IQ needs to improve in terms of getting himself in good positions as he has a habit of getting beaten round the outside on a semi-regular basis at the AHL level.

Admittedly I may not know the other nhl teams personnel well enough. But are there more than 6-7 d men in the league zells size? I’m honestly asking

I'm a fan of Luneau, but if you hate Zellweger's defensive game, you're really not going to like Luneau's at this stage. Luneau's defensive IQ needs to improve in terms of getting himself in good positions as he has a habit of getting beaten round the outside on a semi-regular basis at the AHL level.

But lunuea has great size. And it’s pretty much a very helpful attribute for an nlh dman

I would put hard earned money on Luneau career over zell on just the pure size factor. Hope both can make great ducks
