Such a bold take comparing a veteran Stanley Cup team vs a team on its first year of a rebuild.

Again, the Flyers are overacheiving and games like this are going to happen...I'd rather enjoy the ride than be a permanent Negadelphian.

This overachieving narrative needs to die a fiery death. They're a mediocre team that's in danger of letting their playoff spot slip away. As I vocally feared at the beginning of the season, Torts has been able to squeeze enough wins out of this roster to put them in the worst place imaginable: the middle. But I'm glad you're enjoying the ride, just go ahead an ignore any signs that the ship is about to implode like that Titan submersible and you should be fine.

So what place should the Flyers be on their first year of a rebuild?

1st overall?

Rebuilding teams don't ink Seeler to a 4 year contract or trade actual assets for washed vets. They don't hang onto trade chips like Laughton that could yield higher end assets like early round picks.

They inexplicably sent down Ginning after the Johnson trade and only took 6 defensemen to Tampa...then Zamula got sick of game day.

Pretty sure he was sick yesterday.

There’s flu in the camp. They iced who they could, it’s shit but it happens.

So they don’t understand how the flu works ?
We played 7 D all year but chose to take 6 only on a road trip. Seems smart
