Oh, we were. Completely in jest, but had one shot during the middle of the 3rd from the red line, and he turned and waved to the crowd, lol.

Then the Flyers actually scored, I believe it was the Cousins goal.

Hilarious  He and Raffl should have some kind of comedy roadshow.

As they said in commentary, ever since that last bad hit six or seven games ago, he has been getting back to his best. I'm sure he was feeling sorry for himself to some extent, like he was being persecuted, but full credit to him - he's clearly being more careful now while still playing physical. And scoring a ton, of course

"Radko smash puck. Radko score. Is no big deal. Radko still take one game at time."

Scratch VdV and work from there!
Would be the most logical move, but Raffl has been playing too well to deserve a demotion to the 4th line IMO and I wouldn't break up the 3rd line.
I probably still would scratch Gagner. He's just the odd man out when everyone's healthy.

Mason said Gudas probably has the hardest shot on the team. He was surprised it took him this long.

It looks the hardest, but it also has random accuracy.
Yeah, tbh with a different goalie in net Gudas wouldn't have scored 2 goals. Not even one probably.
Still though, great game. He probably feels like Gagner when he had his 8 point game.

wow, what a disgraceful performance and showing by CBJ. I would be ticked off if the Flyers laid an egg like that.
Oh wait they did against the Oilers
good job by Gudas. dude played the game of his life.
glad they could get the 2 points before this stretch of tough games coming up.

I give credit to Schenn for coming out and playing tonight. He could have claimed that his head hurt but he didn't. Kudos to him.

Just hope the doctors were right. That aside, Schenn is one tough SOB. Too bad his bigger brother is such a ***** cat.

I believe this is the proper PGT to post it

Anyway. Can anyone tell me what's inside Schenn's head and what's his skull made of? I. Don't. Understand.

Is it a demotion though? They don't play 4th line minutes. They don't only take d zone draws and are taking top lines off the ice for last change more then top lines taking them off.

Moving raffl down to 4th line or to 3rd line with cousins and Laughton and read to 4th adds Even more balance to the line up. Ever since umberger was replaced by cousins, we have 4 quality lines. Well, 3 and a PEB/white. Jakes injury showed gagners value and now we need to keep him in and remove the next weakest link, VDV

Gudas is actually pretty good getting the puck on the net, the two worst were L Schenn and Schultz.

Cousins and Gagner get protected minutes, so be a little careful with interpreting their recent production, Hakstol is probably trying to protect them to build their confidence and work them into more responsibility, but projecting from limited minutes into a regular shift can be misleading (why don't they play the third line more? because Hakstol sees something that makes him wary of bad matchups?).

Gagner has been playing better, but I feel he is playing for a NHL contract this fall right now, and will come down to earth at some point

Cousins has stood out in every game I've watched. Laughton needs to take notes from him on not just getting rid of the puck every time you have it.

Radko's forehead is very comparable to Peyton Manning's. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. :sarcasm:

Cousins may be the perfect fit for us going forward. He is an energy guy that gets along with teammates. He drives to the net and gets the puck moving in the right direction. I haven't seen too many D zone errors, if any at all. He and laughton may be driving our third line for a long time and that is very important for playoff runs.

Having Scheen G Simmer
Jake Couts Gagner/Konecny
Laughton Cousin Read
PEP Raff X

Has a lot of potential going forward. Upgrades may be avaialbe depending on hoe NAK and Lindbolm etc workout. The D is self explanatory. This team is really going strongly in the right direction.

Great to think that we are 3 points back of pitt and they have such a hard remaining schedule. There are going to be some tough matches of our own coming up. We did just play the bottom of the league at home so we will have to wait and see what this team is capable of.
