He IS slow this year. I don’t have a problem with most of his play, but his skating is subpar without a doubt.

It's not really about tonight only and I don't think he's been as bad this year as is expressed sometimes but he's just had a pretty underwhelming year. You can still see glimpses of his talent but he can't really sustain a high level of play right now. His injury situation i guess explains some of it but it's gonna be interesting to see what happens with him.
