He needs a pass first winger and he'll be a 30-25-55 guy for a decade. His skillset screams wing but his awareness is locked into center.

Luckily (?) passing wingers are the cheapest commodity to come by organizationally.

I think he's lost without the puck. Putting him with Panarin wouldn't work right now IMO.

He needs simple North South players. I'd put him with Lemieux and Gauthier

Panarin is a different cat. He'd work great with your garden variety 15-30-45 soft winger who he doesn't have to defer to but instead defers to him.

Only thing that give me pause to this is fact Rangers are the best 3rd period team in the league.

Habs might be thinking "not again" as the have blown leads all year long and could be tight this period....we shalt see!

Oh yeah well in that case you're totally right. He's a center. Taking him out of the 3c slot makes that line worse and he's lost at wing on line 1 making that line worse.
