This may be one of the most painful cliffhangers ever filmed. Another ****ing year to see what happens??? Marvel's got balls of steel.

Dude..im gonna need a week off of work to process everything lol

You're coming home??? Is this permanent and you are leaving your tropical hell???

I am permanently leaving my tropical hell, but I am going to Tokyo first and may stay there if I can find a job I can tolerate. I'm going to go and soak it in and see how it feels. Hopefully I can make it around the country a bit.

So you will change your diet from salmon to salmon

Just got back from infinity war. Solid movie, I think I liked guardians of the galaxy and Thor ragnorak more.

I ordered a new TCL 6 Series 55 inch tv from amazon last week and should be getting it in on Wednesday...i've been waiting for this tv since it was announced at CES. Pretty excited.

I purchased the Sony X900E for the living room on Black Friday, this will be replacing my Sony kdl v3000 40 inch 1080p tv in the bedroom. Not that there was a single thing wrong with that tv, but it was 10+ years old and i figured it was time to do an upgrade

God, if there is one I really miss from my time in Japan it's ramen shops.

EDIT: That and being able to walk into 7-11 and buy a fist sized Onigiri for about $2.00

I gave up on ramen a long time ago - I love it, but I just can't eat it without the lard ballooning - and I had already made up my mind to only try it in small samples once I get there. My students did a presentation about it last week and listed all the problems it causes and confirmed all of my ideas about and experience with it. There are plenty of other things for me to tuck into. Funnily enough, one of the things I am most looking forward to is going to the Wendy's in downtown Tokyo

Captain Dave Thomas.

So, when you get boots on the ground, you're just going to wing job offers? Like totally no idea?

I have started sending out applications now. I didn't really want to do it more than a month in advance, because I just didn't think they would want to hear "I'll be there in two months." I also just haven't been sure what I want to do, and I'm still not. I can go home and live on my parents' farm like ****ing Hakstok lol (when my dad retired they bought this small farm, despite being normal city people their whole lives, so I don't have any idea what is going on because I was already here when that happened) - they have a small house on the property, I guess, and I could stay there for free and maybe teach conversation classes over the internet. I think the lower cost of living would mean that I wouldn't have to do too much and could work on some writing projects I have, and then I could always go somewhere later and work for Berlitz or something. I don't know. I really, really want to eat one of these jalapeno sausages they sell at QT in the Midwest, and I am finding it hard to concentrate on anything other than that. The only other thing that is seriously competing for my attention is how I am going to combat the dehydration I will suffer from when I get to Akihabara and see all the toys and comics and orgasm.

Beet, your destiny is.

There was a double murder by my house. Seems like a young couple were found dead by a painter they hired. That’s basically all that’s out there publicly information wise.

I'm imagining a Benny Hill skit where he starts painting the floor and then accidentally paints himself into a corner with two corpses.

On a serious note, I hope everyone you know in the area is OK and this isn't the start of some new serial killer.
