He has not been good for a long while. 2018-2019 feels so long ago.. There's been a lot of pain since then.

I know I know but somehow I want to think he'll be at least OK and the team sticks up for him as well.
 
This is probably the easiest matchup for Georgiev in the near term. That said, I would have continued to run out Igor until he absolutely needed a break.

I'm not implying they're mates with him - I just guess they like winning more than they dislike him.

as for the vetted posters, Edge was always vehemently anti-ADA. So was it one of those or not, but yeah, there were some rumours but not sure how those were sourced.
 
Frank Severelle or however his name is spelled hinted that Georgiev wasn't well liked but it was also in the context of cheerleading DeAngelo I believe

Personally I don't think ADA needed any cheerleading - from my POV his only folly was squaring up with a goalie. No need for that. But that's not a sackable offense either obviously.
On the other hand frankly I don't give too much thought to how well Geo is liked either. I just want to win with him in goal also, we can't have Igor all the time but need to win. So...

I mean even if you don't believe the "insiders" of this board, it was widely reported by the regular writers that it was not just one incident of fighting Georgiev, but that the Rangers had been repeatedly asking DeAngelo to stop being an off ice distraction one way or another. I think there was probably a lot more going on behind the scenes that led up to it and after that, it was just the end of the line.

I recall that Georgiev and DeAngelo have never got along well

E. Kane sucks and a bit of a distraction but still plays for the Sharks.
ADA was key to our PP. I don't care what they asked him. And yeah I freely admit I do find a character that's a bit not like the others entertaining.

On to the game anyway. LGR!

Let’s be clear. ADA wasn’t sent packing because he got into a scrum with geo. he was sent packing because he stopped separating work from politics. The players and team had tried multiple times before the incident to get him to keep shit out of the locker room.
gorton had made it clear he was on his last strike.
The fact that he then was stupid enough to talk shit to a goalie who made a bad play, after he sucked ass that game.
ada was a good offensive defenseman on the rangers, but also one who clearly gets in his own way with his personality.
Geo may not be the most well liked, but there’s been no reports of any other incidents aside from the Ada scuffle.

Kane does not play for the sharks let’s be clear.
He’s under contract and when he comes back from suspension he’s likely going to be sent away from the team as well.
He wasn’t allowed at training camp.
He’s likely going to be bought out, and the sharks will unfortunately eat the remaining contract.
 
Maybe geo can get back to his back up form when hank was in goal? Sitting for a number of games and winning the ones he plays. His issues became noticeable when he played more often. So maybe handling him like this help his game?

I mentioned this earlier, but the team really used to tighten up in front of the backups, even predating Geo. This is a new team though, so that mindset is probably lost.
