Sadly, I was wrong in predicting they would win. The Senators lost the puck right outside their blueline, and the forwards were just coasting down ice. If they were even attempting to backcheck they would have taken it right back and had an odd man rush. No energy today, it will happen this year.

Ill break it down for you lol. When geo is in, its an L. Plain and simple. Always bet against the rangers when geo is in.

Right now, it seems like they're just going out with the objective to just rack up as many hits as they can in 60 minutes.

And like, I get the need to be more physical and the physical acquisitions (especially Blais) have been good.

That being said, we have guys who aren't that and they just look absolutely lost. And yeah, we all want Zib, Panarin, and Kreider to play more A-to-B at times but this isn't even A-to-B. It's just hitting.

I really hope we plan on developing a culture that goes beyond "hit stuff."

I think he'll be swapped for Jones if he doesn't improve soon. To me Jones should have been on this team originally anyway.

yea its really bad, he's just not competitive out there physically and so i'm not sure how much he can improve in the short term. he's not an elite skater like a karlsson who could zip around and hasn't shown anything to think the poise of fox is around the corner.

i'd start with hajek. i'm in the minority who think he can be a good middle 4 dman for a long time. it won't be here but can help generate some interest if he's serviceable then work jones in. but i'm fine going right to jones.

panarin is another total liability right now. needs to get out of whatever this is soon...turning the puck over in heinous ways that dont just blow our possession, they hand out odd man rushes the other way. producing absolutely nothing out there

Yes he is. Geo drops his glove all the time and bc he moved from his good postioning to a worse one, that move made him move his glove hand away from being able to keenly just lift his glove to catch it. Was a good shot but def could have made the save.
