Watch how much space the forwards have coming into the zone and on passes from defensive zone. I’m really questioning the defensive coaching here. This is basic stuff but this team clearly needs to be reminded of it!

I will follow up and say check their PK. Very contracted and clutter the middle of the ice, allowing for time and patience with the puck on the outskirts. Seems to be the game plan against the Canucks because I do not remember them playing this way on the PK. Strome was also high man instead of Fast which is also different.
 
How do you guys feel about the Pp setup? Sucks Panarin and Zibby are both right hand shots.

feel like I never see Zibby’s shot anymore on the PP and it was so lethal

They need a new set up on the pp....something similar to Washington where ovie goes to the point if they are covering his spot, they know we are working it to Panarin. The best thing would be to have Zib rotate into the half wall after Panarin leaves it giving him a chance at a one timer

I could be wrong but I don't think anyone here has even come close to blaming Hank.

It's only irrational until you click the #earnedit filter on whatever site you're using to view player stats. Once you do that you'll see his logic.

Hank has a very good second period to at least keep the game in reach no question. Not a very good first though but he’s hardly why we’re losing. That period was an embarrassment
