Face it... when the top 3 lines play well like they're doing, the 4th line really only has to eat up a few mins and not surrender a goal to give the others a breather.

What blows though is having to play with 5 Dmen with Bickel only getting 1:52 through two periods... yikes.

I feel bad when I see him sitting on the bench I always think of the picture of sad Bickel in that triple OT playoff game haha

Oh God no! I remember the jokes flying around after them...he could have redistributed his energy to the Rangers' top 4. IMO, the third pair should be Eminger and Stralman...hopefully McIlrath will be ready sometime next year which would eliminate the need for Bickel on the roster.

think he's talking about if we lose our RFAs.. I think we keep them though, maybe even Gabs too?

That's it exactly. I also think it will be a negative if we have to lose Gaborik, as I think Gabby is the better player. I was also just reacting to the "people who were against the trade must not have watched Nash in Columbus" comments. The first few games of this season was EXACTLY what Nash was like in Columbus--pretty hockey that resulted in losses.

If his name was Dubinsky or Anisimov and people were going on and on about pretty plays (AA) or defensive effort (Dubi), those of you who were in favor of the trade would have (and don't deny it) screamed "that's fine, but defense and dangles are a dime a dozen. He's getting paid to score goals and he's not doing it!" Nash isn't getting 7million plus to put in effort on defense or rack up secondary assists. He's getting that coin to score goals. Over the course of an 82 game season, he would currently be on pace for 16 to 17 of them.

I'm thrilled the team is playing as well as it is tonight. Frankly, I think it has a lot more to do with Del Zotto than Nash. As I've said a couple times now though--1: It's way too early to judge either way. 2: I hope that, when we DO have a big enough sample size, that I'm the one eating crow. I don't WANT to be right about Nash. All I'll say is that I still have some reservations about what kind of player he is and how much he can help (or hurt) this team.

Up by 2 going into the 3rd...

This game damn skippy better be over. That's what a good hockey team does.

I honestly cannot believe there are people bashing on the Nash trade... we traded so little to get someone who has actually made our offense look competent... I freaking love Nasher.

the Rangers are starting to click... they are looking good so far..

Dude...I have no words.

Seriously...we didn't sacrifice anything, and gained an elite talent.

Relax Debbie...

Didn't sacrifice anything? We gave up 4 pieces for two and maybe 3 but I'm not sue what the condition is for the third rounder. I still would've switched anisimov with another player since we were basically Bidding against ourselves

Who would you have switched Anisimov with?

Post on the Flyers GDT says Philly is 28% on faceoff wins tonight.

Does not sound possible, but that means the Rangers are doing ridiculously great.
