What are some of your favorite artistic romance films?

I'm doing research for a heartbreaking short film/music video that i'm doing for my next song. Want some references.

When i shot my most recent one, i did like 1000 hours of horror films and documentaries.

This is probably the most romantic film I have seen since "The English Patient" - it is stunning.

I don't know if it qualifies, but Wristcutters: A Love Story has "love story" right in its name and romance. It also has a guy who plays Eugene Hutz from Gogol Bordello and that's fun.

I'll second Punch Drunk Love. I thought Sandler was great in that.

Surprised no one said Garden State yet. I like Zach Braff from watching Scrubs, but he's definitely someone you either love or hate. Pretty terrific soundtrack in that movie too.

My wife and I watched Garden State on our first date. It holds a special place in our hearts. I nearly mentioned it but wasnt sure if it is the "artistic" type of film hes looking for.

I can confirm, these are beauties, and if you go down the foreign route, "Jules et Jim" is another.

I am a HUGE admirer of Godard especially, and the French New Wave in general I haven't watched "Hiroshima Mon Amour" in ages and I keep meaning to watch again.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure Magua likes them as well, iirc.

Adrian Amos committing murder is about the only entertainment this game has given me and I love defense. I don't know who made the call for Bradford to play, but oof.

I have the Limited Edition Blu Ray pre-ordered from Funimation. I can't f***ing wait to own it. f***ing amazing movie .

I've watched it 3 times already . Once by myself, once with friends at the hotel room at Otakon and once with my girlfriend.
