Ikonen only missed 1 year so far, not 2.
He was healthy in his d+1 year, and Poehling had a way better year.

I didn't know much about him, I'll admit but I wasn't mad. I don't watch much junior hockey in Russia so I gave Timmins the benefit of the doubt. I was surprised but those kind of picks intrigues me. Especially as early as the early 2nd.

Ive learned to not doubt Timmins with Ds, but at the same time I was mad because it looked like so much talent was on the board. Funny enough I probably watched over 2000 hours of hockey that year and I had seen Romanov play like 2 games in there. I knew he had some skills and was intriguing (I think it was the u18 in which he was really good before getting drafted, and thats the only time ive seen him back then.) but I thought hed be a 3rd or 4th round so when I saw the reach at 38 I was shook.

So anyway, I didnt have Struble or Norlinder in my top 50 but Im giving TT free reign on this Ive learned my lesson.

How high is the possibility that the Habs may just give up on him? Or is it too early to tell?

Hard to say because he hasnt played much but anytime hes played he was great.
