It was almost a year ago (March as I recall) when Chris Chelios said "The NHL wants Chicago to draft Connor Bedard." Maybe we can have a resurrection in a few weeks to a 2024 version of said script.Can't wait until they inevitably add Celebrini next to Bedard and we get another rags to riches BHawks dynasty.

Maybe I am too old school on the matter but this increased jibber-jabber in national broadcasts where the game is secondary to story-telling is frustrating and detracts from the game. Play-by-play is being reduced to an afterthought. My daily singing-in-the-shower is more entertaining than the embarrassment that was Sean McDonough's broadcast -- again, maybe he had a poor position due to a football stadium -- but three-in-a-booth/ice level is almost always one too many.
