I really wish this team didn't forget how to play hockey in December. Completely random how they were so terrible at home against mediocre teams.

Growing pains. Not surprising, despite the fact we were wishing it would all click right off the bat.

Right but I really thought they righted the ship after the first 10 games. Then they fall apart in December at home against ****** teams. At least in the first 10 games they were losing the best in the league on the road.

Yeah but there were injuries, coaching change, and a ridiculous schedule to sort of blame for then.

agreed. now we're all healthy and i think used to av's system, for the most part.
i'd like to see another huge defensive game from staal.
and i'd like to see girardi continue playing the way he's been playing.

I wish we had Ryan O'Reilly on our team.

Heard he got incarcerated last night.

Rangers tend to forget their legs after 2-3 days off, and Avs on a winning streak. Im not so sure about this one...

Key tonight: ENERGY!

The Devils had a lot of good forechecking pressure last night. The Avs' D isn't their strong point, so if you make the breakouts difficult, you'll neutralize the speed game. Avs really only got going sporadically and then in the last 7-8 minutes of last night's game, when Parenteau tied the game on a sweet deflection.

Forecheck, cycle, and work the boards well on a team like this. They'll take penalties. Then again, when does Varlamov ever have a bad game against NYR?!

I'm thinking, that this will be a very fun night to be a Rangers fan. 4-1 win - Nash, Kreider, Boyle and Carcillo.

Really nice player. Not an offensive dynamo, despite the 20 some goals, but strong defensively.

I know Avs fans are in love with the guy, but I have watched a bunch of Avs games and he can definitely disappear at times.

Rangers need to play solid positionally and transition quickly to pressure their defense.

a more complete version of Brassard is what he sounds like...

let's hope John Mitchell or PA does not play tonight

which one of Mitchell, Pareanteau, Cliche will score a goal??? they are former Rangers, well Cliche never played a game as part of the Rangers so he will get the GW tonight :sarcasm:

That St. Patricks Day game from a few years back against these guys still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Varlamov had like a 497 save performance and Stu Bickel got owned.
