Malkin is obviously a great player, but why do the refs seem to give him close calls? I don't see a lot of pens games, but the refs sure seem to take it easy on him and protect him.

TWO penalties on the same (soft) stick check by different players?!?!? :shakehead

but also when you can't score, every seemingly terrible ref call/non-call is magnified.

Is it too soon to start checking the upcoming draft for potential #6 - 12 picks?
