Was a bad hit, and Zegras is going to sit at least a game if there is a hearing, still don't trust Frankie boy, but we shall see. Really doesn't need this publicity now, especially with his production lately. Has become a major target for the members in the mains who are likely bringing out their pitchforks.

That backhand snipe by Cutter was unreal.

Gets more impressive the more I watch it. Almost impossible to beat goaltenders from 35 feet out unscreened with that type of shot into todays NHL.

I have been a part of teams(albeit not hockey) where we’ve had to rely on something/someone way too much - we’d go all in on defense usually. No one cared about stats, only banking points in the Win column. I get all the underlying stats suck but we’re going to finish 20+ points than last year and the reality is Cronin probably isn’t going anywhere. I personally don’t like his coaching, but they’re better than last year(regardless of the why)

Last year was bullshit, considering the huge upgrade in the roster for Cronin. The team should have produced better last year. When compared to 2022-23, the simple metrics of a vastly improved GA and GD with the 2023-24 squad should have netted far more points.

The past two seasons, the Ducks have had a better collection of blueline talented depth that it could trade away D-men in both seasons and not even flinch. Anaheim is rotating between three youth D to get playing time is how much talent depth we have on the blue line. We have far more overall talent collected this season since the 2017-18 season! There is more talent on this current team than the 2021-22 roster, but we are meandering. The 2021-22 roster at 56 games had a record of 26-21-9 (61 pts), a 54.4 Pts %, GF = 165, GA = 172, GD = -7, two points from the last playoff spot, and without Manson for the past nine consecutive games, as well as miss four more games before the TDL.

Hell, even the goaltending is far superior this season than the 2021-22 season!

Therein lies the problem when we are simply comparing Cronin year 1 to Cronin year 2, resigning to a lower standard.

Same, it's hilarious that Ref Wing fans are complaining about missed calls, we had more missed hooks alone then they had power plays this game. I'd say we would have won if one or two of those had been called

Good outcome given the penalty discrepancy and the horrid 1st. At this point, I really dont know how the team starts getting calls in their favor. 10 years ago I fully understood why we might get picked on given our style of play, but we havent been that team for a while. I doubt complaining to the league would do anything either because the outcome would have to be someone admitting they targeted us. Would just be nice to see where this team could be if games were called more evenly.

Love that Chiarot gets nothing though, meaning a two-minute suffices given that they didn't review it in-game and decided no supplemental discipline afterwards (not even a fine). What a great league!
