The optimism is infectious.

For my part, it seems as though we should see more of the 4th line in this game, rougher ice favors the more physical players. Whether or not we'll see anything out of fancier guys like the whole Brassard line has yet to be seen.

I'd expect a fight in the 2nd period.
 
A lot of pond hockey.

Jersey getting the puck in deep in our end and battling along the boards and in the corners to keep plays alive. It's a grinding playoff style hockey that our team has a big problem with. This is how they negate our speed advantage. Rangers missing and flubbing a lot more plays than the Devils. Nash comes down on a 4 on 2--his pass is way behind his target and our team is almost caught on that play--is just one example.

Brassard a very stupid penalty.

I agree. These outdoor games are just for show. A big distraction. They should only do the All=Star games outside. Also do away with OT and the SO and make wins 3 points, ties 1 point and nothing if you lose.
Oh yeah and take off those helmets while you are at it:sarcasm:
 
Got to love these big guest features they get. First the Jersey Boys now this. Get some relevant musical artists in 2014. Tired of the NHL just using any generic alternative rock band.

I understand the Jersey Boys, even though I think music from a play has no business in a sporting event.
 
I know it's fun to crap all over Hank but it's not like we're actually doing much to help him out on defense

Exactly. That is what I said earlier...that guy should have been picked off before he got to the puck to score. The defence was immobile, not quick, stuck, slow, whatever.
