Umberger scores, Raffl scores on the breakaway. What's next? Goal for Manning?

This just hurts. The Flyers could do anything and it would turn into gold. I guess that's what happens against bad teams, but still, we could use some of that once in a while against better teams. I mean jesus christ, raffl just breathed that one in.

That said of course it's nice not to have points taken away by a crap team for once.

If they don't give an assist to Ghost I will quit the NHL and start watching synchronized swimming.

It's an assist, it will be changed

Yeh, I imagine so.

They rarely **** up these days... I always have a boxscore and a gamelog open during a game and there have only been 2 assists I have thought were 'missed' since like ~2010 in Flyers games. Both were Giroux's, one on a one touch play that I still don't know how they missed and one where he played a puck off the boards. I think both were before the end of 2013 too.

Back in the early 90s, when the NHL had neutral ice games, Steve Yzerman initially was credited with his 1,000th career point in a game played in Ohio against the Flyers. After the game he informed the official scorer that he didn't touch the puck on the given assist. The NHL subtracted the assist per his request after watching video replays and a point was credited to Steve Chiasson. Two nights later, Yzerman got his 1,000th in a 10-7 loss to Buffalo.

The game was most memorable because Brent Fedyk tied the game (for the Flyers) with less than a second on the clock.
