I think he meant it's hard to get those guys (and Colorado is down to MacKinnon and Makar now).
Doesn't mean he doesn't want quality, just is realistic about obtaining elite (top 30 or so) players.

Kyrou and Thomas aren't elite, but the Flyers would love to add a couple forwards like that, or a Carlsson on defense.

They are certain skill is bad and that you can have too much skill, and that such a thing is way worse than having too many 4th liners.

I respect your opinion on Michkov, you obviously see something, but I don't. He is small and really not a very good skater; his shot is not accurate, and I see nothing in the way of stick handling ability

Rebuild over! Drafted high for two years! Gauthier and Michkov are all they need, followed by a slop of "depth." They aren't going to have a lot of high end guys like Colorado, and that's definitely true because they aren't trying to find any.

They're very open about this and every action they've taken affirms these words are true.

Also please not the comedy of them doing victory laps in the middle of the season, like always. How'd that end again?
