Prospect Info: #52 Dmitri Buchelnikov, 2022 Draft

Ivan Demidov debuted for MOntreal and scored 1+1.

Kid is 2 years younger than Buchelnikov, but as for comparison:

Demidov 65 games, 19+30=49 points.
Buchelnikov 65 games, 15+39=54 points.

Who knows if Buch could jump straight to NHL like Demidov ?
Big difference between those 2 teams they played for. Buchelnikov was with scoring line,Demidov coach don't care about youngsters.

There's also a big difference in playing for the most successful team in Russia full of former and future NHLers, and playing for one of the worst teams in the league. Even in a down year SKA was the highest scoring team in the KHL with 236 goals, while Vityaz only managed 163. They both had great seasons.

That's pretty remarkable difference, like having 54 points of total 163 goals (33.1%).
49 points of total 236 goals is 20.7%.

Relatively, 33.1% share of points per 20.7% share of points = 60% of bigger share.

Demidov had 13-minute role, as Buch had 17-minute role.

Red Wings have a hard rule you must donate all of your pre prime years to other leagues no matter if you are ready or not.
O come on man. You think the Red Wings negotiated the league rules between the KHL and NHL. Of all the unnecessary attempts to claim the wings over ripen prospects, this is the worst.

Comparing Buchelnikov to Demidov it's like comparing Berggren and Raymond. Let's not set yourself for disappointment. Buchelnikov is going to be ok. He could be very good player in NHL, but not without help from goys like Kasper, could be excellent partners.

I think that’s more accurate if you compare him to someone in the middle of bergy and Raymond. I think Buch is closer to Demidov than bergy is to Raymond
