Kapanen would be such a nice add on the 3rd line. What’s really needed is a top end LD. Grots has the ammunition. Get that player, and one of Robertson or Miller slides into the 2LD spot, with plenty of candidates for the 3LD.

I would also try and find replacements for Strome and Buchnevich. Those guys are OK in their roles, but I think we could do better if we want to win it all. Strome moreso than Buch.

On a related note, me like how Buchie responded from being in Quinn's chateau bow wow. He plays like this more often maybe we'll let him hang around these parts for a few more seasons.

Like everyone pretty much, you watch Kreider tonight and pretty much how he has played the past 2 months and you just hate to see him go. He's that veteran presence that the kids need and look up too and he's so unique as there is not another player even close to being like him on our roster. But yeah than there's this "reality thang"....argggg. Going to suck to see him go...it really will be.

Oh and it's nice to know that there is a very good chance that we'll be having an elite goaltender between the pipes for another 10+ years. Shesty looks like the real deal.

I’m hoping Buchnevich can be moved, and Kravtsov slides into his spot. Keeping Strome is fool’s good, IMO. And, I’d also include Skjei as needing to be replaced.

Probably the cheapest way for them to do it is to try to get into the top 10 at the draft and take Askarov. Maybe they should make a reasonable offer for Georgiev.
