OC Vibe is set to open up Mid-2026 so that means the Samueli’s will want the team to not be a joke by the 2026-2027 season

I could realistically see Cronin and Verbeek in their same capacities til the end of next season

It would be an abdication of Samueli’s responsibility as owner if he doesn’t fire both if Verbeek shows no intention to fire Cronin after this season.

Cronin has shown no flash of being a good coach. It’s beating a dead horse by this point.

Verbeek is still 50/50 with me.

Yeah, ideally those two are a 3rd line, but our franchise depth is more like a puddle than a pool right now.

Strome and Vatrano are fine IMO. A bigger concern is that Zegras isn’t the impact player that anyone here thinks he is.

Maybe it’s coaching, maybe it’s not, but man I’m running low on hope a little bit.

I think he absolutely could be on the trade block

Cronin’s contract structure was 2 years with the option for a third right? Don’t see the justification for picking it up

This is exactly why rookie players and players two or three years out of their draft years, whether older ones coming from the college level or younger players out of juniors, should be written off. Could it be the NHL is a hard league to play in?

Luckily Lacombe is young and D take longer to develop, he could absolutely become a true #1 on both sides of the puck and be our actual best player. Exciting times with him
