Lol at you two grasping at straws, I NEVER want Carlsson fighting except for an extremely rare occasion, that’s not his play style and never will be. Hell I never wanted Getlaf killing penalties, or fighting unless it’s the playoffs because the risk is not worth the reward. Carlsson, despite his size IS NOT similar to the play style of Getzy and I think it’s silly to expect him to be. I want him to focus on offense, Jack Hughes has like 38% FO percentage, shitty defensive metrics, but is scoring at over PPG and has been. Crosy had similar numbers, with more points, but he was no defensive or faceoff stalwart when he entered the league, that takes times. Again, I’m not saying it’s not valuable, but you bring in veterans to bring those qualities that can be taught when raw offensive talent can’t be taught. I’d bet we all take that over focus on other stuff that shouldn’t be a focus on 20 year old lol, you bring in players to support and minimize those definicincies. Do you see Crosby fighting folks outside of maybe 3 occurrences in the close to 20 years he’s beenin the league?

Also, from that video I see Carlsson continuing follow the play, back turned, which is what he should do and actually Fabbri being the closer player who should stand up for a teammate. He’s not Gezlaf, he’s not Perry, he’s more like a Terry and some of yall just need to understand that. Who is Minty’s D partner? They should be flying in a la Manson when that shit occurs. Carlsson has not produced offensively, I don’t think anyone is really doubting that, the stats reflect that, and we get your hatred with the pick lol.

Lomberg should be suspended. Hitting a player who's unaware in the face and the spearing them while they are on the ice is the definition of dirty play that shouldn't be in the game. The end was a mess but the Ducks were physical throughout the night, and I didn't think their response was an issue.

Overall, they were close most of the game. There is clearly a team here. There are good players. It's also clear they are not being utilized correctly. Too many decisions just don't make sense. This team won't make a meaningful step forward until Cronin is gone.
