Helleson has exceeded my expectations this season (they were extremely low), but I’m still not sold on him being an NHL defenseman. I’m fine keeping him around, but I don’t see him as a long term option.

The Ducks looked so bad in the 3rd. I turned the game off after Seattle scored their third goal. I couldn’t bear to watch giving up all the odd man rushes like a few years ago.

At about 4 minutes the score was still 5-4, so I watched it to the end.

At least they put in 30 minutes of solid effort.

All I know is 2 things. However unsustainable our wins may be…..

1) Derek Lee you are a godsend for ducks info.

2) we may not be having fun on these boards, but hearing the boys in the locker room laughing and celebrating, gets me f***ing fired up.

There is the theory that's been discussed a bunch that Helleson's play is better at the NHL level versus the AHL because there is more structure and less cheating on plays. If that's true, games like this will not suit his play. This game lacked structure was requires more fluid play. Zellweger probably would have liked this game.

Yea. Makes sense in theory. No nonsense stay at home structure guy likes structure. Fluid breakout chaos guy like open space and trading chances

Cronin might be complete ass and whatnot but watching them boys score 16 goals these last three games is pretty damn fun and probably really good for morale as well so please just keep doing that!
