In the first period the Jets looked like they had cement in their pants.
But, little by little, they got their second wind and won the game.
Anyone think Toews will get a suspension for that headshot on Wheeler?

Big big win. That first half of the first period was forgettable but the team slowly pushed back and then eventually took over the game. Full marks for the last two periods.
Helle was a rock again.
Defense was shaky in the first but settled and played well after. I have to say I don't mind the current configuration of our defense. I also echo the sentiments that Nathan is a pretty solid bottom pairing guy and I would like to keep him.
Forwards:
Laine was a force and Connor got better as the night went on and was dancing in the third period. Scheifele was mediocre tonight.
Wheeler, Ehlers and Appelton with another nice game.
Third line had some dominant shifts including the one on the game winner. Nice game by Copp. The guy is an elite 3C imo. I easily keep him over Lowry going forward if it comes to that.
Fourth line barely played.
Special teams played well tonight and I like the nz adjustment that the coaching staff made.

It was really good for the paying fans tonight.
And up to the 1st wildcard spot we go. Despite the late nights this spring that is exactly where I would like to end up and take a run up the Pacific to the Conference Finals.

Arena sounded like it was alive again, sadly hasn't been the case much this year, but if they keep playing like they have lately fans will get revved up again and that's always a positive

Great day for Winnipeg. Nick Taylor wins PGA tournament Jets win game and Toews gets 800th point.
Really liking how they are standing up for themselves and each other lately, opposing teams will start taking less cheap shots.
I predict he will get one of the NHL 3 stars of the week
