If you go back pre 2015 you'd be surprised how many goals were very offside. As a matter of fact the Richard Park game 6 OT goal in 03 vs Colorado which led to a 3-1 series comeback and win was offside by 2-3 feet.

This. There are certain plays you need to instinctively make as a defenseman and I rarely see Mayfield make any of them or execute them correctly.
