Hopefully Ullmark is good to go.

I figured soogaard was getting the call regardless. Suppose Ullmark plays, gets thru the Winnipeg game, wakes up stiff and can't back up in Minnesota.

Fingers crossed that Ullmark is ready to go

People speak of the long road trip but the entire month of January will be a huge grind:

1. Team is scheduled to play 15 games. That's a ton of hockey.

2. We'll be mostly facing playoff teams.

3. Four back to backs

4. Ullmark is not healthy

I don't see how we come out of it in a playoff spot, especially if we lose the next two games with a rookie in net.

Well. We need to stay .500 lol. Big time treading water here.

The team has played some tight hockey for a while, and are clearly capable of limiting chances against.

It's time to rally around the young goalies, play disciplined and gut out some ugly wins.

Getting the PP sorted out on the road, would be huge, too. Let's win some special teams battles.

The next 3 games are going to be very difficult without Ullmark. I honestly wouldn’t be that disappointed with 1-2.

Kaprizov is day to day, so there’s a chance he might not play Sunday. That would obviously be a huge break for us.

Winnipeg record outside their 10-11 game win streak to start the season is something like 15-10 very winnable game

Standings on Nov 23rd:
Winnipeg 17-4-0 34pts 1st place in the league, 4pts ahead of Minnesota
Ottawa 8-11-1 17 pts, one point out of last place in the league

Since:
Ottawa 10-3-1 21 pts tied for 1st place in the league
Winnipeg: 8-6-1 15pts, playoff bubble team

Kaprizov is day to day, so there’s a chance he might not play Sunday. That would obviously be a huge break for us.

Also out is Erikkson-Ek and Jake Middleton and Minnesota has gone 3-6 the last 9 games mostly with Kaprizov IN the lineup. They've been one of the worst teams the last few weeks.

Too much doom and gloom here, these will still be tough games and maybe Ullmark won't be available, but they can get points here.

Sounds like some adversity for the team to rally around.

In all honesty, if they come out of Jan within 5 points if the playoffs and healthy I'll still be a playoff believer.

Have they said what Amadio's injury is? I assume concussion, but that was an awkward hit in to the boards and could be a number of things.
Getting smashed face first into the dasher is a great way to get concussed

You know boys, you don't make the playoffs winning just the easy ones.

You need to beat some other playoff teams and do it on the road.

We could lost the next 3, win the last 2 and go 5-4 overall which I'd of happily taken. But I just don't like the optics of the 4 game losing streak.

Plus the Sens Will likely have their AHL goaltenders playing some of these games….. being forced to overplay Ullmark is coming back to bite them…. Injuries have consequences

I’d be surprised if we win one of the next three games.
Watch out ….they’ll accuse you gaslighting them…..

2 games at least.

The Sens have 3 days off before the Dallas game. They will surely head home after the Minnesota game on the 29th. They'll be home for the 30th and 31st, before travelling to Dallas on the 1st for the game on the 2nd.

Hopefully, Ullmark goes with the team to Dallas.

Don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but the Sens have a history of sputtering out of the Christmas Break. Hopefully Forsberg is 100% healthy, if not he may not be up for the task and I have zero faith that Levi can carry the ball. The Sens have their work cut out for them and wins in Winnipeg and Minny will be crucial in determining their fate.

EDIT: I see that Forsberg isn’t cleared to play yet… responsible 200-play will be required from all players if they hope to have a chance.
