Honestly f*** it, they're making 11M+ each, they need to be able to play through any matchup. Point and Cirelli are studs but no reason why our guys shouldn't win that matchup.

I don’t know if they'd want Tavares and Nylander without ROR matched up against Point, Kucherov and Stamkos.

Matthews and Marner can win the matchup which Would free up Tavares and Nylander.

However Tampa lines up, the Leafs should be able to match up with them, regardless of bank accounts.

My thought process is, if our two essentially max players can't beat Point/Cirelli then we don't deserve to win. These are supposed to be match up proof guys, I don't think McDavid/Drai or Mackinnon/Rantanen are that worried about who's gonna be checking them and avoiding match ups etc.

I agree with you about ROR though, he's a rock defensively and I feel a lot more comfortable with him out there with JT/Nylander. At home I think we could experiment with ROR as the 3C, but in Tampa I'd want him in the top 6.
