Wow the weight of that chip on the shoulders of some Leaf fans appears massive.

How could fans of either of these teams EVER feel victimized? Tampa and Toronto are both the darlings of the league - I wondered at the outset how they would handle this situation. It appears they chose to handle it favouring one side one game then the other the next and then calling almost nothing this game.

The high sticks were pretty obvious, especially the second one.

The Nick Paul "dive" call was imaginary and easily a worse call than the first high stick for those complaining about that one. The second one could have been called from the 400 level.

Not sure how Leafs fans feel but these are games I always want my team to just lose in OT if possible vs the next 2-3 mins...the pain of giving up the goal and having to sit through a fruitless comeback is much worse than just losing and being done with it

Even if it were questionable, questionable calls are simply a part of all sports, and arguably worse in hockey. But it is also true that the more aggressive team is more likely to be on the good side of the penalty.

How is that a penalty FFS.

It might have clipped his face afterward but it's hard to tell. He embellished but still, you have to be in control of your stick. Can't get your stick up that high or you risk a penalty.
