This will lead to high sticks probably being reviewable in the future for sure...we've seen 2-3 now that was simply a case of a lifted stick

IMO the level of play in this series is above all others outside of how the avs played. So far I have seen 3 top teams
Avs
Leafs
Bolts then the rest
Well i certainly think Florida looks good... and the winner of carolina + boston will be tough out... and even pitt has looks really solid

i dont like tampas chances vs any of those teams... i like the leafs chances a little better tho

What an idiotic and obvious high sticking penalty to take for an extended 5 on 3.

Unless you want to be revealed as deeply corrupt it must be called.

His stick was stuck in his helmet straps.

I don't think TO thought there was any offside or interference, they totally sold that to get their guys rest before play resumed...very smart

You're kidding, right? Two clear as day high sticks.
BS. The first one he grazed the player's shoulder - lots of embelishment, then hedman lifted the guy's stick.

Both were garbage calls in a game that if the officiating was even tolerable would not have been called.

first one wasn’t a penalty, as it just got his uniform, but the second was absolutely a penalty. if they were upset about the first one, fine, but the second one was no question a penalty.

Marner's stick held on face-off.
Perry interfering with Campbell.

3rd 5 on 3 for Tampa this series too.

Just so much fun this series has been from a zebra perspective.

Leafs are their own undoing right now. They're the better team based on the way the games have played out, they just need to not put themselves in "automatic call" situations. Refs will ignore a crosscheck behind the play but a high stick in a 1 on 1 when the camera is on the refs and the players is not going to be ignored. Refs are going to get chewed out heavily if they ignore a call like that.
