If there was a game to play Haley, it's this game. Washington has Wilson, Gudas and Hathaway.

Okay, then bench Strome for incompetence and run a 4th line of Smith-McKegg-Haley that plays 5 minutes.

That way we both win. Lemieux-Andersson-Fast third line.

Tonight I’m actually expecting a pretty strong effort. 1 game in 11 days will make Tampa or Toronto look like shit. Lemmy better be in tonight.

Guys Lemieux deserved that benching. He was horrible against Edmonton and took 2 bad penalties in back to back games. He’s not immune to some accountability

I’m sure he’ll be in tonight.

Starting to lose a little faith in Quinn. His handling of Kakko and Andersson has been an embarrassment. Also, Trouba stinks on the PP. You gave up two important picks for Fox because of his ability to work the PP among other things. Well, put him on the first unit you clown.

Me too man. I liked the hire but he straight up seems like a college coach in terms of strategy/decision making. I can’t see him being here if we don’t make the playoffs by the end of next year.

After seeing the stat leaders at the beginning of this thread, I finally see what HAS to be the reason for Quinn's fascination with Strome. A 60+% on faceoffs?!?! Holy shit!

Yeah two amazing picks we gave up.

Fox and Kakko should be on pp1. The way the Fox works the pp and his vision I think would work wonders with Panarin/Zibby...and same goes for Kakko.

He's kidding right?

If that's true then we are in big trouble. Did he realize we faced an AHL level defense and barely put any pressure on them? He's trying to stay positive i guess?

I would love to see that third line but I don't think it's gonna happen unfortunately. Actually give Lias at least one guy who could put the puck in the net.

Ok what is wrong with Quinn's handling of Kakko? As I already showed over the last like 7 years among 1/2 overall picks only Matthews/McDavid and one other forward I can't remember started on PP1 immediately. He's 4th on the team in 5v5 mins. Not seeing the issue. Lias - yes. That one is bad.

Will be a good test for this team playing the Caps who are playing really well at 5v5 to start the season and are where they are standings wise because of Holtby. Time to move Howden down to the 4th line and move Lias up, maybe swap Kakko and Buch as well.
