Poor reason. Almost every player on this team isn’t playing well (or playing below expectations). However, ADA and Pionk are young and should be given a chance to play their game without worrying about being benched, more so than guys like Staal and Shattenkirk. Young players go through growing pains. We all know that. They should have a very long leash.

What is crazy to me is that we are in a rebuilding year, and people are still fine with sitting our young D-men for older D-men that are even worse. Boggles my mind. By the way, ADA has been good for the most part. Pionk has been meh. But even if they weren’t playing well, that’s the point. Results don’t matter this season, no matter what anyone says. The point is to develop players at the cost of results, in order for the young players to gain experience and produce in the future. You would have an argument if the vets were actually good, but even then I would argue that playing the young guys is the reasonable thing to do.

Spooner and Namestikov are such complimentary players they're useless without someone on their line. It's embarrassing.

I agree with this. He just turned 19. There is no need to rush him. I think he should stay in hartford for the rest of the season.
