So if Rod becomes the fastest coach ever to hit 300 wins is he a HoF lock?

As a coach alone being the fastest to ever hit that milestone seems like a big deal. Add in the fact that the team hadn't made the playoffs for 9 straight years before his tenure and is looking to make it 7 straight with him at the helm seems like it should be enough on its own.If they abide by their own rules it’s two completely separate resumes so he’d be no more a lock than Bruce Boudreau.
But if you ask me, that’s a dumb rule, so who knows.

Of course I think he should be in as a player regardless but shows what I know
I bring up Boudreau for a reason - he’s the current record holder.
The little "I'm gonna shift my line enough to impede the forechecker but not enough to get called for a penalty" move defenseman pull when 'racing' for a loose puck is probably my least favorite part about modern hockey. If I was the Czar of the NHL it would be a major penalty.I don't think i've ever seen mutual holding called but it probably should be more often
