I don't see him ever being a buyout. My ideal scenario with the D is that Lundkvist makes it possible to trade ADA. Say Schneider gets here in two-ish years. That would leave ~3 years left on Trouba's contract. In all likelihood (unless she's a surgical resident), his girlfriend's residency will be over by then and he would be tradable with a bit of retention. We'd carry part of his hit for a couple years, but by cycling out him and ADA we'd have a couple of RHD still on first/second contracts in Nils and Schneider.

Being lost is something what strome is going through right now. 19 yo kid, haven’t played hockey in what? 10 months? Makes a jump to the world’s best league, hardest division and yet has no points but is doing all the right things. He is skating, shooting more and forechecking hard. You can just tell that he will be one of those players who will win games. He looks like the best player on that line with Mika and Chris. Trust me on this one, if he keeps playing like this, the points will come.
