Lose today and this season is going sideways fast. They really need the 2 points.

2-2-1 looks a lot different than 1-3-1. 5 out of 10 points vs 3 out of 10. You need to change the outlook tonight.

Miller has been pretty rock solid thus far. Keep feeding him minutes.

Problem is we keep starting JJ. He only had 14+ minutes of ice time last game but that makes it a waste to start him then. Start Smith who you can trust with the 16-17 minutes. Thats 2-3 extra shifts in a game.

DQ needs to wake up and stop with the JJ nonsense. Gauthier should also be back in the lineup.

he doesn't get a lot of ice time but almost every f***ing goal we give up at ES he's on the ice for and usually has a hand in.

Also would prefer Smith over JJ but giving Smith more minutes means less for Miller and Lindgren and so far it doesn’t look like it’s needed.

Same lineup that blew two goal lead? If you can't change after a 5-0 win, I understand, but maybe after a loss? Especially when that lineup includes the WORST player in the league?

johnson will not only get his first point before Laf but he'll end up with more too at the end of the season :(
 
My big question tonight is the goalie. Quinn needs to get shesterkin games. He’s the number one there is no 1a 1b here thing. I don’t fault shesterkin on one goal Friday night. All ridiculous and the two in the shootout were about as perfect as it gets.

quinn needs to start solidifying the lineup. That starts with shesterkin

you can play with Johnson/smith and Rooney/gauthier all you want but otherwise you gotta get some continuity out there

Panarin-Strome-Buchnevich had the puck almost the whole time against the Penguins, they just couldn't get anything to go in. Strome going for a sad wrister on a breakaway wasn't good though, he's really fighting it. Didn't they use him in shootouts sometimes?

Kakko scored last game so he will be deservedly scratched for reasons and stuff. DQ has instead opted to personally sign Jimmy Vesey to a one game contract and will aim for 17 minutes of ice time. He will line up opposite Parnarin, with Buch promptly demoted to the bottom 6 for playing too well
