When Brassard went down in the playoffs, the Zuccarello Pouliot line disappeared, it's ridiculous to have Zucc up there at 54 not far behind Henke, and Brassard taken off the list. I'm a zucc fan, but lets be realistic here.

Nash and Stepan are both gone while Hagelin, Kreider and Zucc are still up so that should tell you everything. Combination of "what have you done for me lately?" and overzealous fans.

Carl Hagelin (26)
Chris Kreider (21)
Mats Zuccarello (52) - 2 = (50)

Ryan McDonagh (70) + 2 = (72)

Henrik Lundqvist (61)

Carl Hagelin (28)
Chris Kreider (17) + 2=19
Mats Zuccarello (54)-2 = 52

Ryan McDonagh (70)

Henrik Lundqvist (61)

Brass went down after playing 35 seconds in the 1st game against MTL. Zooks had 3 points in that one game after Brass went down. Most lines would have trouble if you replaced their center with your 4th line center. Zooks has shown he can play with almost anyone so a implication that Zooks is only good because of Brass would be short sighted in my opinion.

Lundy and McD should be in the lead as they are but Zooks led the team in points so he has nothing to apologize over if he comes in 3rd place. Lundy as great as he can be barely showed up in the first half of the season. Talbot was our best goalie at times.

If we're playing the game of silly opinions, Ill weigh in: Zucc was injured with a fractured hand after the olympics, the team responded by playing like garbagebags. Team wins the moment zucc returns to the lineup.

Nash please.

Lol i love just reading this thread. Which is weird considering it should all just be plusses and minuses

Let's speed this thing up. We should really wait until the middle of July to start it since the new free agent signings get on board.

Would love to have seen Glass get eliminated in less than a day after the signing.

Zucc did his job and stepped up that game. After Brassard's injury, that line never dominated again and Brassard playing hurt, is no coincidence. Zucc is no not nearly as important to the Rangers as McD or Henke.

Zooks had 3 points in game 1 without Brass.
0 points in game 2 without Brass
0 points in game 3 without Brass

So 1 game scoring 3 points without Brass but 2 games with 0 points without Brass is a reason to put Zooks down? 2 games with no points is a very small sample size considering Zooks history of scoring with almost everyone as well as leading the team in scoring. How many of our fowards would dominate offensively with Pou and D Moore as linemates?

You are right that Zooks is not as valuable as MCD or Lundy. His lower point score already reflects that and he will likely come in 3rd on the team based on that.

Heck, I just like the kid and I am voting for him :D

Zucc was the best forward last season, simple as that.

Time to eliminate Kreider, he doesn't belong up here with the veterans. He did some good things, but he's not that good yet.

Lets just see how it plays out :) Fair, not fair - doesnt really matter, does it? I am voting for the player I want to vote for on any given day for any given reason. I am happy with Zucc being willing to take that contract and risk injury, and he gets my vote today. Kreider gets my minus, simply because I am running out of options to deduct.
Tomorrow may be very different
