I actually have zero problem with that usage. Shows the coaches have no confidence in their defensive skills, and thinks their offensive game is valuable. I wouldn't quite go so far as to say I have zero confidence in them defensively, but am completely fine with them being sheltered (or, if you prefer the different way of saying it: being put in a position to take advantage of their offensive talents). That is especially the case, in my mind, for Yandle. Defensively, he is pretty bleh.
I just don't then look at that and ignore how it could impact corsi.
