Great point, Lemaire is as deserving as several players whose numbers are retired. #1 Center on arguably the greatest team ever assembled.

They lost 1 game all year at the forum. I think they were 36-1-3 on home ice. If I remember correctly they lost 4-3 to Boston at the Forum.

Lemaire was my favorite player........Dryden and Cournoyer were right there..........
You are right Lemaire did not get near the credit he deserved.....not sure why? Rift with Guy when Jacques was the coach??

The dynasty in the 70's got us 6 Cups in 8 years. Was so much fun to be a habs fan!!

As I think about it We were very fortunate back then. Not only Danny Gallivan. But Roger Doucet singing national anthem every game. Scotty Bowman, Sam Pollock. Arguably the coach and GM the league has ever seen. The Big Three, they were about best defense ever assembled. With good back up, Nyrop was good #4, Bouchard was the WiFi of his day. Ken Dryden.
