Totally offtopic but that visual very reminds me of the Latvian animated movie Flow, that just received a Golden Globe and some speculate it might get an Oscar (TBD).

I have yet to watch it, hope to do next week. If I can find time in the middle of the night to watch how Cronin takes a piss into my sould with his player development, I can find time to get my ass to the cinema.

Go Ducks. Panthers are our inaugural(?) bros. Now we both have a cup.

The lines look a lot better on the eyes without players like Lundestrom and Leason playing with Carlsson and Killorn. When Zegras gets back:

McTavish-Carlsson-Killorn
Vatrano-Strome-Terry
Gauthier-Zegras-Fabbri

Need to upgrade Fabbri’s spot with a gritty skilled puck possession RW that can score. That’s got to be Verbeek’s focus going into the TDL and offseason. Has to be someone under 28 with some term on their contract

Basically, we need one more Terry level RW and we’ll have a solid top 9 IMO

I like Sennecke but I really hope we go outside the organization for help in the near term. Let him develop one more year

#3 picks don’t usually stay down in the minors for 2 seasons (unless it’s a Russian player ) definitely expecting sennecke to be on the ducks next season. Possibly the Leo plan? We still need to do anything possible to trade for Tkachuk if he becomes available and or sign ratenan though

Mac centering Leo-Killorn does kick Cutter to the curb with Lundy. Hopefully, Zegras comes back to center Cutter and Lundy be the defensively minded wing.
I still think cutter had a nice game the other day. Zegs and him should be together obviously when Z is healthy - I thought they looked better together than both Leo/Cutter and Leo/Zegs

I don’t necessarily mind him being in the NHL but I don’t want to rely on him to be a big time scorer next season or the year after

He’ll be in his age 19 season next year and the odds of him producing more than 30-35 points are slim to none - that’s not a knock on him at all also

There has to be help coming from outside of the org at forward the next 2 years IMO

‘15 - Dylan Strome - ‘18-19 (58 GP 51P)
‘16 - PLD -‘17-82 (82 GP 48 P)
‘17 - Heiskanen - ‘18-19 (82 GP 33P)
‘18 - Kotkaniemi - ‘18-19 (79 GP, 32 P)
‘19 - Dach - ‘19-20 (64GP, 23P)
‘20 - Stutzle - ‘20-21 (53GP, 29 P)
‘21 - McTavish - ‘22-23 (80 GP, 43P)
‘22 - Cooley - ‘23-24 (82GP, 44P)
‘23 - Fantilli - ‘23-24 (49 GP 27 P)
‘24 - Sennecke - TBD

I think there are a few players who were ready, but if you look at career trajectories AFTER that first year, it looks pretty clear that Strome benefit from waiting, and Kotkaniemi, Dach, McTavish, and Fantilli probably would have benefited from not getting to the NHL as quickly.

I wanted Mac to go to the NL-A instead of going back to juniors in his D+1 season. But oh boy did Mac own the OHL and the WJC-20 that season. There was nothing left for Mac to accomplish at junior level. The problem with Mac was that he didn't turn 20 years old until Jan in his D+2 season. That made Mac ineligible for the AHL per CHL/NHL agreement. It was NHL or back to juniors, which he completely dominated already.

Mac's D+2 season was development one as he started off at 2LW. Eventually, went to center, but started off as a 4C and like 6 minutes his first time playing center that season.
