I don't know if they are that good or this sustainable...maybe...maybe not. But I do believe they seem to have a great young core, lets say 26 or younger, to really build something special. Thinking add Michkov(he should have immediate impact) and ice solid third and fourth lines and could have a great little run. I can't see Couterier being a part of that just for health reasons, the only guy I think might be tough to replace. So...sell smartly this year, and next year commit to a plan. I still want them in playoffs....just because. This coach could easily derail all this though with his dinosaur mentality. And Briere....just don't know if he can pull it all together. Lets hope.

That is crazy. What the f*** is happening.
It is a refreshening of the soul and a conscience effort to dismiss the unnecessary extra weight that was restrictive. A healthy Couturier should not go overlooked even in the most appreciative sense. The goaltending is not only solid and dependable but is a cohesive unit that isn't remotely worrisome. The players have bought into the coaches. The simplest thing such as a fun goal song, even perhaps archaic, adds to an element of pleasure and ease. The Comcast titular head has been dismissed. It is January and that could be deep enough into the season to be optimistic or still early in the exercise that we wallow in another season of crashed landings. Enjoy it while we can, not so much for what could happen but the fact that we have young players and enough stability from those young and younger players to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Torts is never effusive, but that’s about as pleased as he gets in a post-game presser. For good reason.

I know we have trauma from the past few years, and I have had some “talk to me in a month” moments of doubt, but this place should be far happier.

This is a fun hockey team with personality that plays for eachother. Torts deserves a ton of praise for what is happening right now. The team has bought in. Frost sharing that the group wanted to make this their statement game after going 3-0 on their road trip indicative of where this group is at.

We deserve it.
