This Al/CK interview is awkward. Not Zucc level, but its up there lol.

Boyle's ****** stick caused blue jacket goal. Insert Carcillo; remove Festering Boyle

Who's the guy on the Isles that greats breakaways all the time? Grabner? Kreider plays like him now except his can forecheck like a bigger Hagelin, hits everything that moves, and can pass really well. He also great balance on his skates. He's great in front of the net.

so basically a lot more than grabner can do. He can also put the puck in the net, which grabner definitely cant.

I thought the forwards did a really good job that period.

Stepan just keeps feeding people chances, nobody feels like scoring.

Cally and Hags are wreaking havoc on the forecheck, Cally is finishing every check again, had a good backhand shot.

Kreider is a wonder. He'll score tonight. If he can start converting on half of his golden chances, he'll be a 60-70 point player one day.

Brassard flopped 2 golden chances.

Richards had several good plays, shots.

Pouliot continues to lay at least one brilliant, predatory hit per game.

Kreider is a lot like Stu Bickel, except he can skate, shoot, pass, forecheck and play hockey.

Agreed, especially with the bolded. Step is setting up everybody, Cally is throwing his weight around, and of course Kreider is in beast mode.

So nash has 8 goals everyone. What other things can we name that are more than 8?

I'll go first.

OV's power play goals.:sarcasm:

What I am beginning to see from Kreider makes me think he could exceed my expectations by a fair margin. He is starting to show that when he puts his mind to it, he can potentially take over a game.

Very exciting.

Is his contract up this year? Sather HAS to make this kid a top priority.

I want to make sure that you understand the camp I am in when I make the next statement.

I believe that it is in the best interest to trade Girardi at the deadline and get as much as we can for him before he gets to UFA and lands the 6-7 year deal for more money than I am comfortable paying him.

That said let me get into it.

Fans from teams watch their games more than fans of other teams watch opposing teams games.

Rangers fans watch more Rangers games then devils games so on and so forth.

Its in that line of thinking that we see the small signs both good and bad and while some of us will acknowledge them, so many of us will not.

Tonight I saw a sign that further cements my belief with Girardi. The hit he took along the board while stiff, should not have prevented him from getting back in the play.

His lack luster effort in getting back into position was as good a reason for that goal being scored as any other.

The fact is that even if he was in position, the goal may still be scored as it seemed to have deflected a few times. The issue I have is that he was NO WHERE to be found.

I get it. Guys get banged up. I just know that 2 years ago, Girardi is back in position there.

Girardi is not a punishing hitter, but he does take some pretty stiff body checks (the whole team take more than the dish out)

My concern is that the wear and tear is starting to show and this is not the kind of player you want to hitch a 6 year wagon to.

He was good for the time he was here, let him move to another team, have his one year spike of solid play, followed by 4-5 years of serious decline.

just an opinion
