And the negativity is basically a build up of things. This team isn't contending for a cup and likely won't make the playoffs. Right after trading a ton of assets for Nash, who is exactly as advertised - talented, but lacks drive. He's a Canadian Bobby Ryan.

Friggin Millennials. It's not a video game where every time you can trade guys for having a poor shift that leads to a goal. You want a goal every shift and 82 wins a season.

This team was down two goals last time they played and came back.

Its the ref's decision apparently (i have no idea where the actual NHL rules are, so i have to rely on Wikipedia..) which states that its up to the refs. They can award a 4 minute minor without blood also.

Which kind of makes it somewhat shady in my opinion.. i hate rules that are wide open to "interpretation". Much simpler with just.. high sticking.. 2 minutes.. any blood ? another 2 if yes. End of story.

I think the main reason why stepan is on is because the US are thin at Center and they are looking at last year which stepan probably had a career year. cally shouldnt be there either but i guess since he was there in 2010

His previous 8 seasons define who he is. 8 seasons where he was stopping shots like that. And right now, he's not stopping them.

Sorry if I want a team that can go 2 games over .500 once in the entire season. I'll readjust my expectations.

Blood is supposed to be automatically 4 minutes.

However, it seems as if it happens in Pittsburgh and it's a Penguin high-sticking a Ranger, it may be 2 minutes, or it may be no call at all.
