Or 3 years ago when he was rumored to be available for Schneider & a 1st. I like Schneider a lot, but you can't tell me this team can't live without him.
Schneider is one of the handful of guys with balls. JT, Will, Rempe, Schneider, and Borgen are really the guys that bring some balls on a crazy soft team. Wish we had some more. Laffy can join them if he wants. Vince can as well but Vince doesn't have as much size.

Laf made Matt Tkachuk his gf many times during last years playoffs. Took out that one dman on Washington for the series too, in game one. He has it in him.

I agree the possibility is there for both Laf and CK (when he is back 100% healthy). Question is will they have the desire to be alphas again or keep settling for this soft soft soft stuff they have shown too often?

Thanks for not choosing the Michael Bolton version....

JT fully understands the situation. He's going to have to sustain a high level of play to lift the two softies Panarin and Zibanejad on his wings and open up chances for them. He knows that means playing in the tough areas.

I have hope for Laf but getting rid of Kreids/Zib/Bread will make us a better, deeper and hopefully faster team. Drury has a shitload of work to do before next season starts.

I just think this is the season to take our pick high and gather firsts + other picks/young players with potential. This can be a very quick retool. + Otter, GP and a growing Berard. We can be very good and younger next year.

I want us to get tougher but I think you can afford to keep a soft point producing player like Bread if you don't have a team full of softies. We don't have to be all alphas. We just need more of them like Florida, Tampa or LA when they beat us for the cup. I would move Bread if the price was really high though. The one place we really need a nasty dominant player is on our defense. Find me a Pronger and then we will be in business! :)

Bread is worth just as much if not more than JT got. I think it’s a wash at the worst, maybe more at the draft?

And oh you poor man, Chris Pronger doesn’t exist anymore but hot damn I wish he did. Fox/Pronger type is a perfect dream pairing.

JT is a lot better player than he was several years ago. He was a pretty good player then but somewhere between a 2nd and 3rd liner and kind of stalled. After his second move from Tampa to Vancouver he took charge of his own game. He's very good when he has space and he's great in battle areas. A bit of a nasty edge and that helps. He reverse hit Hague who is a big big guy and knocked him on his ass. It's a kind of game that I think Cuylle could develop. Going into next year I'd be looking to put JT between Lafreniere and Cuylle. That could be a talented and very hard line to play against.

Speaking of Cuylle......love that hit on Pietrangelo. Hague again is a big big guy and had the edge in the fight but that's okay. It wasn't a beating....Cuylle's able to hang in there okay.
Hague f***ED up his hand on Will’s helmet. He was feeling it in the penalty box. Hague may have gotten the edge in the tussle, but he also took the worst of it.
Good on Cuylle, just wish he had let Hague take the extra minor. He was too pumped after the hit I guess. Hahahaha.

You may want to slow your roll. Mika has been awful for almost two seasons. One game is not nearly a large enough sample size to reverse his history. To add, if Mika is suddenly fixed now that he is playing with JT, is it really Mika? I hope he does turn it around and gets back to the guy we all loved, but I'm going to wait a while before I make that call.
Mika is not suddenly "fine". He has been improving since the x-mas break.

Also, While this season hes been awful, I wouldnt call last season awful. That was a down year for him and he still managed to score 70+ points and be a PPG player in the playoffs.

Prongers size and nastiness would transform this defense so much. We need to clone him!

I was very sheltered unlike Lindgren!
Wasn't a knock by the way, as it's coming from someone who thought I watched a LOT of TV, but you're on another level.

It's funny because although I liked the idea of shows like the Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, the Hulk & The A-Team, etc, they actually bored me to tears. I would always lose interest mid episode & start flipping channels or organize my baseball cards with the tv on in the background. So I can say I technically watched those shows, I can't remember many specific episodes like you can. I will say I was more of a sitcom guy, they usually kept my attention longer.

With that said, recently I added Pluto to my Apple TV & I'm hooked on the original Mission Impossible series from the '60s. They were always on in reruns on Saturday or Sunday afternoons when we were really young, either before or after sports were on. As a kid, I always thought it was boring as hell because I had no idea what the hell was going on, but the show is actually brilliant & really ahead of it time for when they were made. They're really risque as well for 60s censors. I'm actually shocked CBS got away with airing many of them.

Before yesterday's 3 point game, he had 3 points total in his previous 9 games. He was also dogshit through most of the first two periods yesterday. It would be awesome if he can build on last night's 3rd period, as it would good for the team on the ice & also a huge boost for his trade value over the summer.

However, as I mentioned in the Roster thread last week, moving forward I think we should all just accept he's going to be a bit of an enigma, & it's going to be a roller coaster of some good play mixed in with stretches of games where he looks totally lost.

No harm done lol

All of those 80s shows were very formulaic, and they all stuck to what worked lol. Don't have too many impressions of the 60s shows. When they were on as re-runs, I didn't like them because they looked old compared to the high-tech drama and stakes of Knight Rider LOL. I probably would appreciate them now if I viewed them.

Really nice win, happy for Quick! We're still some points behind a playoff spot, probably need to win 7 or 8 of the nest 10 to not be sellers at the deadline. To make the playoffs we probably need 95 points, that means playing 0.68 hockey from here on.

Kreider does not have that mean streak/physical bit in him, even when healthy, we should not expect it. That was coached out of him by AV and the refs back when he was young and now he's old and isn't going to be trying to overpower people all game long.

League doesn't protect it's players well enough so if you're not ready to immediately throw down after a legal hit then the other team will be cheapshotting you all game (and future games) trying to hurt you
